I will so miss my beautiful Aunt Gladys. She was always so accepting and loving toward all of her nieces and nephews. We had great times staying with the Morris family in the "country" as kids. She treated us so kindly, just as she did her own kids.

As an adult, I was lucky enough to travel with Gladys to Arizona and to California with my mom (her sister), Carol. Gladys was always so happy to be enjoying the beautiful flowers and warm weather. One time in San Francisco while visiting me she ran into people from Hastings. They asked her how often she traveled to San Francisco. She replied, "oh, once every 63 years or so".

I have many wonderful memories of Gladys and am especially grateful for her amazing 80-year friendship with mom. We will always love you, Gladys. Thank you for being such a wonderful aunt.

You can see the kindness in her eyes...
I will forever remember Gladys as a gentle, loving (but feisty) aunt who made all of us feel at home. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She seemed most comfortable surrounded by her family: the more, the merrier. I have many wonderful childhood memories of summer days spent in Hastings with my Aunt Gladys and cousins. Nothing fazed her; not fighting kids, dirty dishes, hungry mouths or loose animals. Rest in peace, dear auntie. You were one in a million.

I only had one chance to meet this loving lady, but knew her through her children. Bonnie spoke of her so often over the years that I felt I knew her. Kent told many stories about his mom as well. She certainly was loved by her children. We are so sorry for your loss. A mama is especially hard to lose. So we are sending much love to all the family and many prayers as well.
