When you come to the edge of all that you know, you must believe in one of two things; there will be earth upon which to stand, Or you will be given wings.

Barkdull family and close friends,
Love reveals
The hurt within
When loss has come
And life seems dim
God understands
And feels it too
His arms are there
For holding you
God will never
Ignore your pain
But longs for you
To hope again.
Jim was truly a great man. Nicole and I feel blessed to have known him and we will cherish the memories we have of our time spent together.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
May the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again may the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand.

My dear, dear friend Laurie & family,
I am so very sorry to hear about Jim, I know he will be greatly missed by all. May you find peace and comfort in a the life time of memories of a life shared and that it will bring love to your heart, a smile to your face and peace to your soul. I know all to well of the pain you feel and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult. For me I find peace and comfort in the following poem,
Who am I to speak of death, when I have yet to see?
The beauty of the "light" or the angels that set you free.
Who am I to mend a heart, or stop a falling tear?
Offer someone "comfort", when my eyes are full of fear.
His body will be healthy, his laughter like a child-
Reprieved from "our world"-and free to run wild.
It's not for him I worry, for he is safe above
Its bleeding hearts left behind, dying from their love.
Children feeling robbed, friends without a clue
Relatives feeling helpless, children crying too.
Quietly we are begging, for one more simple "hi"
One more precious second, another chance to say "good-bye".
But who are we to wish him back and make him feel the pain,
Forcing him to fight again, just so we can gain.
Life is but the journey and perhaps death is its reward-
Could heaven be a present for those that have a Lord?
I cannot speak for others but in my heart I know it's true
Even though I shed the tears, I know what I should do.
Focus on something "happy" a memory from the past,
For it was his smile, its enchantment will forever last.
It's the only way you knew him and the only way he'll be.
Memories of happiness, a celebration to set him free.
I only know that Jim still lives and his spirit remains true.
He walks beside you daily and whispers what to do.
He left you not in death for he left not at all,
He's now a guardian angel- to help us when we fall
Love ya Laurie and talk to you soon,

I love you so much Daddy. I am glad I got to say goodbye and sweet dreams to you as you said to me for so many nights of my life. Us kids and grandkids will make you so proud and will be there for each other always with you looking over us. My heart hurts so badly I just want to call you and have you make everything better like you always did but I am glad you are not in pain anymore. Thank you for everything you are amazing.
Love your baby girl
