Joan Maree Linder

Joan Maree Linder, of Sahuarita, Arizona and St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully August 25, 2026 at the age of 74. Joan was an emergency surgical nurse at St. Paul Ramsey Hospital (now Regions), surgical nurse at Children's hospital and St. Joseph's in Tucson. She cared for many people and, later in her career, was a Licensed Therapist. She also participated in the Trailblazer -Alz 2 Alzheimer clinical trial through the University of Arizona. Her smile was contagious as well as her laugh, glasses and lipstick, which will be remembered by all. To her family she will always be known as Tia Joani. Joan is preceded in death by her parents Art and Char Linder, nephew Daniel Arthur Hawkins and partner and soul mate, Steve Wahman. She is survived by her sister Jaynee Hawkins, her brother Rob (Bonnie) Linder and she had a very special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews; Erin Collins (Lidi and Carter), Nate Hawkins, Gordie and Julia Linder/Hennen (Lilly and Ted) and Joe and Lauren Linder (Gabe and Patrick) and her best friend Suzie Bauer.
