No one could match her energy and creative spirit.  She would take a cubby hole size space and turn it into a full size serving area for hospitality, grass roots organizing, world café, or fun house.  Behind every breath was another super idea. I just got back in town from attending my sister's funeral in AZ, and was sorry to learn of your loss. Thinking of you at this sad and challenging time, Lloyd. I never met your wife, but I know you have been a faithful caregiver for a long time, her suffering is over, and there will be a special place in heaven for you. Grace and Peace to you my friend. Lloyd, Rick, and Family,  I am so sorry to hear of JoAnn's passing.   It has been years since I have seen JoAnn but she was the kind of person that would always simply pick up where we left off. I'll always remember her as having a very comfortable, welcoming, and candid personality.   Ironically, before hearing of her passing, I recently found a picture of her with me and 4 other women.  We had completed a project (back in the mid 70's ) with the Governors office to support Hispanic women issues , especially families experiencing domestic violence.  

I am truly sorry for your loss, JoAnn was a beautiful person, always willing to help others be heard and not afraid to dig right in to make sure things were done.  She will be missed, God bless you and your family

I was so sorry to hear about JoAnn passing Loyd.  Tessy introduced me to her years ago. I always enjoyed being around her. She had so much enthusiasm for everyone.. She was such a dear friend of Tess and Chuck.  Thank you for taking such kind and considerate care of JoAnn.   I know all the love, support and memories will comfort you and all your family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Joann's death.  Her smile, her sense of humor, and most of all her fighting for the well-being of others, are things I won't forget.  She was a gem.

Lloyd and family - As you know, I worked with JoAnn at DHS and we became good friends.  I will always remember all the fun we had together.  She was so full of energy and a wonderful friend. Her life was definitely well lived.  I will miss her for a long time but she will stay in my heart forever.

Joann was a force to be reckoned with!  She pushed everyone to work hard and deliver and she joyfully supported us when we did.  I'm thankful to her and feel lucky to have known her.  My love goes out to Lloyd and Joann's family.

Joann was always full of sunshine. She loved to have fun. She loved her family and friends. She was huge backer to Democratic party, fought equal rights for all. She even went to President Clinton's inauguration, she had great stories about that. We spent many a fun day together. I will remember her with fondness. Thinking of her makes me smile. My heart goes out to whole Family.

My heart felt condolences to the Enos family .Even though I haven't seen her for years, I often remember her fondly.   She had such a zest for life and unconditional love of family.  I remember the March 17th we went to lunch and became Irish the rest of the day.

Joann was such a amazing woman...always there for her family and friends.  From doing all of the flowers for my wedding to getting the mousetrap goo out of my long hair!  She touched so many lives and will be missed by all.  Candi, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I have the utmost respect for JoAnn Enos. I first met her when I was at the Spanish Speaking Affairs Council. She served as Vice chair and I admired her immediately. She became a strong mentor to me as we worked towards equity issues and assuring that Latinos had a voice. She was an active member with Hispanos en MN, working to address issues of chemical and alcohol abuse.  However my greatest memory was when we achieved recognition as Latinas against domestic violence and that lead to the establishment of Casa de Esperanza. She introduced me to the political game. The first Latina to run for office as a City Council Woman!!! She may be gone to her new life, but her legacy lives on.  Rest in Peace my Sista! Elsa Vega-Perez
