John Andrew Blaha

Of Shoreview

Passed away on December 22, 2011. He was employed in the maintenance department of International Harvester in St. Paul for over 30 years. John was a US Navy Veteran and member of VFW Post 7555, Roseville. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Virginia; daughters, Barbara (Brad) Cornforth of North Branch and Patricia Heiman (Ken) of Coon Rapids; six grandchildren: Daniel (Elisa Coppini), Andrew, and Sara Cornforth, Jennifer (Todd) Paulsen, Kelsey & James Heiman; great-granddaughter, Scarlett Cornforth; brother, Arnold (Dorothy) Blaha; sister, Bernadine Benson; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for John at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 29th at the Church of St. John the Baptist, 835 2nd Ave NW in New Brighton. Visitation for one hour prior to the service at church.. Interment with military honors at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Services entrusted to the Wulff Funeral Home of St. Paul.
