Judy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lena (neé Marascuilo) Juelich, and her goddaughter Brenda Misenor. Judy is survived by her many cousins.
A beloved godmother, cousin, and friend, Judy will be missed by many for the love and humor she provided to those around her. Judy graduated from St. Pascal’s, then St. Joseph's. She completed her undergraduate work at the College of St. Catherine, where she was respected by classmates and teachers alike. She began her teaching career at Prior Lake, then moved to Roseville School District, where she taught Physical Education for elementary and junior high students for the bulk of her career, and also taught Physical Education and Science at the senior high level. She always said the junior high was her favorite. While teaching, Judy completed her Master’s Degree at St. Thomas University.
Judy loved traveling, gardening, fishing, British cars, and golfing. After retiring, Judy stayed social and active, learning to paint and traveling for painting and golf trips. Her network of friends never dwindled; she loved her bowling group and her volleyball team, and she joined Silver Sneakers to stay active. On her 75th birthday, Judy rode a horse on the beach in Port St. Joe, Florida.
A fabulous cook, Judy enjoyed having her relatives and friends over for dinners and cookouts. Her cousins and their families were her world, and she loved telling stories about Jimmy, Nick, Colleen, Stephanie, Tina, Everett, Henry, and Nora, who she especially enjoyed because Nora bossed the boys around. She loved being a godmother, and she always made sure her godchildren felt special.
Judy will be remembered for her fierce love of friends and family, for her sense of play, for her can-do attitude, and for her self-proclaimed title of Efficiency Expert, She will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Special thanks to Jan and Tom Chlibec for visiting Judy each week during her illness and taking care of her beloved dog, Chester. Also to Anne Boyd and Nick & Colleen Misenor for their excellent care of Judy during her illness. She knew how lucky she was to have all of you in her life and expressed it often.
