Leticia Ortiz

Leticia “Letty” Ortiz, age 82 went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 15, 2021 in Farmington, MN. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Miguel “Guelo” Ortiz and her father, Ramon Garcia.

Letty lived in Rochester, NY for 33 years and was an active member of the Corpus Christi Spanish Community Church. She retired to Deltona Florida where she continued to practice her strong faith as an active member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughters Cynthia (Erin) Ortiz-Murphy, Ivonne (Justin) Grimm; Luz (Nelson Colon) Ortiz, son William (Carolyn) Ortiz, 7 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

A service of remembrance will be held in Deltona, Florida, Thursday, July 22nd, 2021, 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church (1310 Maximillian St. Deltona, FL 32725). An intimate service with family will follow in Rochester, NY at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in October, where she will be joining her husband on their wedding anniversary.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Letty’s name to the Allina Health Hospice and Palliative Care Program or Trinity Care Center and TCU. Letty received compassionate and loving care from both services.
