Lyle Ernest Tommerdahl

Lyle was born on December 15, 1936, to Lloyd and Lyda Tommerdahl.

Lyle shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Grace. He carried her memory with him every day and found comfort in knowing they would one day be reunited.

Lyle retired from 3M after many years of dedicated service. Outside of work, he enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life special. He loved sailing, appreciated fine dining, and especially enjoyed sharing those experiences with family and friends.

Lyle is survived by his sons, Eric (Dawn) Lacska-Tommerdahl and Gregory (Melissa) Tommerdahl; his grandchildren, Nicole (Ben) Whelan, Cassie Tommerdahl, Hannah Tommerdahl, Madison Shockey, Adam Erickson, and Mackenzie Shockey; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Braxten and Charlotte.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Grace, and his parents, Lloyd and Lyda Tommerdahl.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Linda Thompson for her countless hours of love, support, and compassionate care for Lyle. Your kindness and dedication meant more than words can express.

The family would also like to express their sincere appreciation to Sky, Cody and the entire LifeSpark Hospice team for the exceptional care and compassion they provided.

In keeping with Lyle’s wishes, a private interment will be held at a later date.
