Marie grew up in Cherokee Heights and lived for many years on Dodd Road. She was a longtime parishioner at the Church of St. Peter, Mendota. Preceded in death by Parents, George & Lillian Brinckmann; Sister, Joan; Brothers-in-Law, Albert Thiltgen & John J. Connolly. Survived by Sister, Loyola Thiltgen and 11 Nieces & Nephews and their children. Marie worked at West Publishing for several years then joined 3M from which she retired in 1982. One of Marie's great joys while at 3M was traveling around the world with the 3M Club. In 1947 she visited Cuba and in 1952 she sailed on the Queen Elizabeth for a seven-week tour of England and the Continent. She traveled to many other countries over the years and her final big trip was to Australia & New Zealand with her sister, Loyola. At her soul, Marie was an artist. As a young person she sketched. She found beauty in many objects that she collected and studied different forms such as painting. In her later years she took up paper crafts, recycling greeting cards into gift tags, note cards and bookmarks. She shared these with many. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30am on Wednesday, September 25 at Church of St. Peter, 1405 Highway 13, Mendota Heights. Visitation from 4-7pm on Tuesday, September 24 at Wulff Godbout Funeral Home, 560 West 7th St., St. Paul, and at church one hour prior to Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
