

Throughout her life, Mary demonstrated quiet strength, resilience, and care for those around her.
Born on June 27, 1959, Mary lived a life grounded in compassion and perseverance. She was at her very best when she was helping others, offering kindness, understanding, and support to those in need. She had a special way of connecting with those who felt forgotten, and she became a friend to lost souls and lost dogs alike.
Mary had a deep affection for animals (especially dogs) who brought her great comfort and companionship. Her home and heart were always open, and she found joy in caring for both people and animals who needed it most.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents Marie and Ervin Knutson, and her partner Forrest (Frosty) Johnson.
She will be forever in the hearts of her children, Joseph Deegan (Heather Hollenkamp), Jennifer Sotelo, and Gregory (Jessica) Deegan, who carry forward her spirit of care and determination.
Mary is also survived by her sister, Nancy Maloney, and brother, Jim Knutson, as well as her many cherished grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and happiness.
Mary’s legacy is one of caring, compassion, and determination. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
