"Mom" can't believe it has been a year and missing you more then you will ever know. Shopping, people watching and holiday coffee breaks will not be the same without you.

Missing you so much Mama.  It's hard to believe it's been a year since we lost you...then again...the days are long and empty without you and it seems like you have been gone for so long. "Mom"...It's fair time!! Boy the time we had that day...from eating corn dogs, fried green tomatoes, cheese curds & carmel apples-in-a-dish, to people watching, seeing baby pigs, sheep and goats. Going up hill to the top of the grandsatand ( and then remembering there was an elevator)to closing the place down for the season. 
We should be getting ready to go again, but I'm sure you will be there in spirit... walking through the fair, watching all those people and enjoying ALL the sites.

Happy Easter Mama.  Missed you so much today...holidays are always the hardest without you.  What a grand celebration you must have had with "Grandma & Grandpa on the farm" and ALL of your siblings as Aunt Marie has now joined you and filled the last remaining chair at the "Carnes table"! I miss you too, Mom, and have so much I'd like to talk to you about right now!  What I don't miss, though, is knowing you so wanted a sip of coffee or to eat a meal yet could have "nothing by mouth".  I don't miss hearing you wince in pain or cry when you could not tell us what was hurting.  We knew you tried your best to stay here with us, but your body just didn't cooperate and you were suffering as a result. God, in his grace, took you into his arms and made you whole again and I'm thankful for that.  While we miss you here on earth, we rejoice in the fact we know where you are and that we'll meet again some day, God willing.

84 years ago today, an angel was sent from heaven to grace this earth.  Of all of the lives you blessed, I was one of the lucky ones that got to call you "Mom".  I miss you so much and I couldn't love you more...Happy Birthday Mama!........................

Though her smile is gone forever, and her hand we cannot touch, still we have so many memories, of the one we love so much.

Her memory is our keepsake, with which we will never part.  God has her in His keeping; we have her in our hearts......ALWAYS....XOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

It's been a couple of weeks now and things should be getting a little better, believe me because I have been in your shoes, it may get better but you well never forget, and thats a good thing. You well always have the years of memories you both shared and believe me there well be days you well do nothing but sit back and think about them memories. Always know if you need a little mothering I am only a phone call away.

What can I say about this AMAZING lady??  
10 yrs ago I became best friends with Deb and at the same time Muriel became my 2nd "Mom". We have done so many things together in such a short time it's hard to remember them all. 
A few that come to mind are....trips to the mall, the zoo (along with all the people watching), Christmas concerts, Christmas lights at Phalen Lake, the MN State Fair, and the many trips to Caribou Coffee for girls day on the patio watching the geese and birds go by.
Life will never be the same and "Mom" is going to be missed more than she will ever know, but the memories will last a lifetime.
May you rest in peace Sweetie til us "Golden Girls" meet again at Caribou in the sky.
