Rebecca Ann Mechtel

We are devastated to announce the passing of Rebecca “Beckey” Ann Mechtel at her home in St. Paul, MN. Beckey passed at the age of 66 on Monday, April 10th, 2023. Born February 28th, 1957 to Jennie and Julian “Mitch” Mechtel, both now passed, she joins them and her younger sister Michelle Marie (Mechtel) Arcand in heaven.

While Beckey, had no children of her own she adored and is survived by her nieces and nephews, Ashley (Tim) Connolly, Jeffery Arcand, Kaitlyn Arcand, Susan Mechtel, Nathan Mechtel, and Emily Mechtel, and her grand-nephew Ethan Connolly. She is also survived by her siblings Ken (Ping) Mechtel, Julie (Glen) Swanson and brother-in-law Tom Arcand.

Beckey loved to cook and read. She was a gifted writer and orator. She loved to sing and participated for many years in the St. Ambrose choir and White Bear Chorale. She was a bright light in our family, she taught us to enjoy the finer things in life and to always live with a little bit of sparkle.

An afternoon visitation for Beckey will be held on Wednesday April 26th from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm follow by a celebration of life at Wulff Funeral Home 1485 White Bear Ave, St. Paul, MN 55106.
