

He was born on August 31, 1934 to Eladio & Innocencia in Mindoro, Philippines.
In 1967, with his Mechanical & Electrical Engineering degrees and $50 in his pocket, he immigrated to Minnesota in pursuit of the American Dream.
Within a year, Alma and their growing family joined him. He was also instrumental in assisting many others to immigrate. He was elected as the 1st President of the Fil-American Cultural Society. He loved his heritage & shared it with others, along with his other passions - fishing & camping. He was also proud to be a Mason and was a long time benefactor for the Bethesda Ministries in the Philippines.
He took pride in designing & building his family home and continued to design & build other projects.
Renato is preceded in death by his Father, Mother, Siblings and eldest son, William Lesley.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alma; son in law Blaine (Daisy Mae, Leandro Eladio); Arlene (Randolph - Zachary Alan, Samuel Henry); Mary Jane (John - Lily); Renato Jr. (Sedona Kachina, Abigail, Grace, Madelyn); Meredith (Douglas - Hogan, Alma Jane, Truman, Willa); Mark Andrew (Danielle - Evan, Jett, Liam).
A Visitation will be held at St. Genevieve Parish Community Center. 6995 Centerville Rd. Centerville, MN. 55038 on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 10:30am. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Genevieve Church in Centerville would be appreciated.
