Richard "Dick" Sward

May 5, 1927 - August 1, 2013

WWII Veteran, 1944 Johnson HS graduate and U of MN graduate, 40 yr. employee of 3M, avid gardener, swimmer and walker, 55+ yr member of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Dick is preceded in death by his Wife of 60 Years, Carmel; Three Brothers and Three Sisters. He was a loving father and will be dearly missed by his Four Sons; Jim of Guerneville, CA, Bill (Sue) of Maplewood, Tom (Wendy) of White Bear Lake, John (Kellie) of Maplewood; Eight Grandchildren, Jim, Stephanie (Bill) Mauer, Eric, Chrissy, Joe, Farren (Peter) Swanson, Rebecca and Carmella; Two Step-Grandchildren, Jeni O'Brien and Hanna (Dustin) Hood; and Four Great-Grandchildren. Mass Of Christian Burial, 11 AM, Wednesday, Aug 7 at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1725 Kennard St. at Larpenteur, Maplewood. Visitation 1 hour prior to service at church AND Tues, Aug 6, 5-8 PM with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:30 PM at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave., St. Paul.
