He is survived by his Foster Father, Ed Backie; Daughter, Jolene Cortez; Step-Sons, Joe Ritchey, Steven Wescott & Harry Wescott; 11 Grandchildren, Bryan (Sarah) Wilhelm, Sarah R. Wilhelm, Amber Andreson, Darrin Cortez, Jr., Joshua, Bradley & Timothy Ritchey, Joe & Patrick Ritchey, & Anthony & Kelsie Grote; Four Great-Grandchildren, Joann, Kristy & Charlotte Wilhelm and Nevayah Merritt; Brothers, Ken (Carol), Mark & Vincent Wilhelm; Sister, Judy Wilhelm; Extended Family & Friends. Funeral Service will be held to celebrate Richard’s life on Saturday, February 23 at 11:00 AM at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave, St. Paul. Visitation one hour prior.
