

Ronald Roy Erickson, age 93, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on September 19, 2025. Ron was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and was a proud lifelong Eastside resident. He graduated from Johnson High School and attended Hamline University. Ron spent his entire career employed at 3M, retiring in 1992 as a Divisional Purchasing Agent. He married his sweetheart, Donna Olsen, on August 18, 1956.
Music was always a big part of Ron’s life. He was a dedicated church member and an active member of their choirs beginning at Central Park UMC, Epworth UMC, and most recently a member of First Covenant Church St. Paul. He joined the 3M Male Chorus in 1954 and continued singing with the Mellow Fellows Men’s Chorus when it was formed as an auxiliary daytime group in 1996.
Over his lifetime, Ron was an Eagle Scout, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Osman Shrine Temple, and the Osman Drum and Bugle Corps. Along with Donna, Ron was a member and officer of the Order of Eastern Star. In 1985, Ron joined the Ramsey County Fair Board where he served for many years including many terms as its president. He also served as the Director of the Federation of County Fairs in 2011. That same year, Ron was given the award for Outstanding Senior Citizen of the Year presented at the Minnesota State Fair. He was an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and 3M Cares organization, just to name a few.
Ron loved traveling with his family and friends. His favorite place was Disney World.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Donna Mae (2020) and his siblings Gene Erickson and June Winter. He is survived by his daughters, Gwen (Dave) Krueger and Pam (Chuck) Feske, son, Chris (Deb and son Sam), grandchildren Erik (Rita), Ellen (Max), Lauryn, Dylan (Julia), Mitchell (Haley), Hayden (Wawa), and Olivia; great grandchildren Anika, Nicholas and August; special nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many, many friends.
Ron was active until his final days and throughout his life was an amazing, kind and patient person. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Private internment with a Celebration of Life Service at First Covenant Church St. Paul, 1280 Arcade St., will be on October 23, 2025 at 11AM. Visitation will begin at 10AM. Memorials preferred.
