Sandra Marie Wackerfuss

Sandy was well loved by all who knew her. She was a devoted member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church and School for over 50 years, volunteering her time on several committees. She helped so many in a humble way - listening, caring and praying for them.

She worked for the past 25 years as an adult foster care provider. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends and had a huge heart for her dogs over the years. She enjoyed gardening, helping others with rides, errands, meals, or whatever was needed. She was extremely selfless, always looking out for others' needs before her own.

She will be sorely missed each day...we will meet up with you again in Heaven Mom!

Survived by daughter, JoAnn Quackenbush (Jim); son, Duane Wackerfuss (Yumi); grandkids: Austin, Sophia, Lucas, Ethan, Monet and Kai; brother, Chuck Wolkerstorfer (Cheri); and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, Francis & Joseph Wolkerstorfer; sisters, JoAnn Cazel and Marge Parenteau; & her aunt, Vicki Wolkerstorfer.

Sandy lived a full and beautiful life. She will be most missed for her forgiving and generous heart. We look to the Heavens to remember her and never be lost.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, 11/13, 11am - 2pm, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church (2410 Stillwater Rd. E, St. Paul, MN) with visitation from 10am - 11am just prior to the service. Pizza lunch will follow the service.
