Steven Louis Reitz

Steven Louis Reitz was born November 2, 1950, to Louis and Gladys (Corey) Reitz. He was the youngest of five siblings. He grew up on the family farm in Gaylord, MN where he received his education and graduated from Gaylord High school in 1968.

After High school, Louie served his country in the Army, and was deployed to Vietnam. He worked as an Aircraft and Engine Mechanic. Although the war was hard, Louie enjoyed all he learned about the different planes and helicopters he worked on. He was honorably discharged on February 6, 1976.

Louie worked as a woodworker and construction worker. He loved working with his hands and completed many projects for his friends and family over the years. He was always willing to lend a hand when asked.

Louie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He spent a lot of his time outdoors with his beloved dog Belle.

Louie is survived by his daughters Emily Albrecht, April (Mike) Baird. Grandchildren Cody, Zachary, Aubrey, Nathan and Georgie. His sisters Bev (Tom) Kroger and Barb (Al) Page. And many nieces and nephews.

Louie is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Gladys, his brothers LeRoy and Dennis and his beloved dog Belle.

Louie will be laid to rest during a small ceremony this Spring at Fort Snelling.
