Ted was a great guy.  I remember that he would help with always smiling and he was “just there”. I’ll miss him!

I was blessed to know Ted, as a coworker and friend, for more than 30 years. He was a kind and very gentle man, and a loyal and supportive friend.  We shared a love for our Minnesota Vikings, and kept in weekly contact via e-mail during the NFL seasons while I was stationed in Thailand. My wife (Annie) and I would get together with Ted and Louise each time we returned to the US. We had some lovely meals together. Ted kept all our 3M SMSD team members updated on reunions, retirements, deaths and funerals. He was a very special man, and I shall miss him very much!

Dear Louise and daughters-

Ted was such a wonderful man. I got to know him at St Jerome's.  He was always so kind and nice to me, especially after my husband passed.  I am imagining the wonderful reunion he is having with Daniel in heaven. I pray for peace and comfort for you all at this time. May God hold you in his loving arms and provide you with his loving care.

Ted was always at the heart of any SMSD get together or golf outing. He was liked by everyone and involved in so much. I for one will miss him.

Unfortunately, Sandy and I will not be able to attend the service or wake for Ted as we are in Missouri for a Veterans Day celebration.  I think back to when I joined 3M and Ted had begun his journey shortly before.  He was so kind and helpful to a newbe.  As I was totally confused and lost, it meant a lot to me having someone to direct me.  For those of us that knew him, he will always be remembered for his soft spoken manner and willingness to help or befriend those in need.  He, after the 3M Stemwinder was discontinued, kept many of us in the loop as to what was going on within 3M, especially within the SMDS group.  His kindness and love for his family will definitely leave a deep hole in their hearts.  However, our Gracious God has promised  him eternal life and assured us that we will see him again.  May this be the strength and comfort that will bring Louise and his family through these difficult times.  In deepest sympathy, Art and Sandy Luedeke

Ted was an excellent person.  He was a Scout leader, friend, and neighbor to me.  It was easy to quickly recognize that Ted was a friend to all.  Ted was a patient listener, always willing to pitch in,  and consistently had a smile on his face regardless of the task at hand.  He was an excellent role model to many people over many years. Louise and girls,
I am so sad you lost your husband and dad and many of us lost a friend.  I will forever remember his kindness to me when I joined the group at 3M and bringing me an office chair on wheels when I couldn't walk and was in a lot of pain from an accident.  His smile was contagious as I see in his picture here.  He was a good person and friend.

We are very sad to see the passing of Ted.  We will miss seeing him on his daily walks and how eager he was to see how big the boys have gotten.  Our Theodore was very proud to share a name with our neighbor Mr. Ted and hopes that he grows up to be an engineer too.  Thank you for all the smiles and interest in our little family Ted, you will be missed.
