Angie, Dan and I just heard about Troy. Words cannot express how shocked and saddened we are to hear this. If we had known we would have come and paid our respects at the funeral. We are so sorry for your loss. We are in shock. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and the whole family.

Thinking of you today while we all say our goodbyes. I still cannot believe this... One day we will meet again and laugh like we always used too! You are going to be greatly missed and thought of each and every single day.

When Troy learned that main bar from the song "One" by Metallica, we had wished he had only played it ONE more time. I quickly learned that Troy never stopped after only ONE more time. Even when I pleaded for the sake of my sanity for him to stop,  all I was ever met with was that face- you know the one- that one that beamed with pride, determination and childlike giddiness. The one that I knew there was no use fighting; he was going to stop when he was good and ready, not because I asked him to. I saw that look several times over the years that I was present in his life. I also saw the look of respectful defeat, compassion and love. 

Troy, I told you I loved you numerous times and I meant it. You were hard not to love. I wish I had made the choice to bug you one more time and for you to bug me one more time before you were taken away from this place far too soon. That is a regret I will live with and a lesson I will carry with me for my future friendships and relationships. 
Rest in peace Troy, you will never be forgotten.

We had good times, we had awkward times. My love for you was carried through my friendship with your courageous and unconditionally loving wife, Angie. She loved you, she fought for you, and she was always there for you. You were truly blessed.

Angie, you have always been a special person and you married a special person.  The conversations I had with Troy, were always good one's.  The last was about biking and how he was really enjoying it.  There aren't always immediate answers why life happens as it does and during this Earthly life we may never totally understand those why's.  Heavenly Father has the answers, Troy is with Him now and he understands.  The day will come, as it will for us all, where understanding and new beginnings will bring with it the love and joy, you'll once again share.  I know you know you are loved, many care deeply for you, you are part of a wonderful family, they will always be their for you.  Prayers and love!  Uncle Jim.
