William (Bill) D. Shaw, aged 70, peacefully passed away on March 11th, 2024, in Minnesota. Born on April 17th, 1953, in New York to Jeanne and William F. Shaw, Bill's journey was marked by love, dedication, and passion.
Bill's heart overflowed with pride for his granddaughters, whom he adored and cherished, delighting in every moment spent spoiling them. His love extended boundlessly to his daughters, for whom he would move mountains.
Throughout his adult life, Bill found purpose in the restaurant industry, transitioning from ownership to management, where his dedication shone brightly. Later years found him at Home Depot, where his compassionate spirit thrived, deeply committed to his Home Depot family and always eager to lend a helping hand.
Hockey ignited Bill's soul in his youth, culminating in a triumphant moment when he scored the winning goal for Minneapolis Southwest High School in the 1970 Minnesota High School Hockey Championship game. His passion led him to semi-professional hockey before embracing family life.
Bill leaves behind his beloved daughters Andrea (Aaron) Britt and Ashley (Jim Schroeder) Shaw, along with his cherished granddaughters Ariana, Aaliyah, and Jordan. He is also survived by his brother John (Bonnie) Shaw and his ex-wife Deb Shaw.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Jeanne and William F. Shaw, and his dear brother Michael Shaw. In the hearts of those he touched, Bill's legacy of love and dedication will forever endure.
