Linda Gail Oakes

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Peter (1999) and Ruther Daches (2006), by her husband Frank Oakes (1973), and by her life-long partner Paul Rector (2004). Linda spent her career working for the U.S. Postal service. After her retirement she was employed at Weis Market and assisted with closing procedures at Bluestone Laundromat in Mountaintop, PA. Prior to moving to Arizona, Linda was a long-term member of the New Life Community Church and enjoyed drinking coffee while working on word searches with her friends at Abe’s Hotdogs in Mountaintop, PA.

Linda spent the last two years of her life watching Arizona sunsets, playing bingo, singing with friends, playing basketball with her great-nephew, and attending family dinners. Linda had a love for the Lord, a zest for life, and a compassion for all.

Linda is survived by her niece, Linda Marsh, great-nephew William Marsh, brother-in-law Albert D. Marsh, nephew Albert P. Marsh, brother Joseph Daches, sister -in- law Diane Daches, and nephew Joseph Daches, Jr.
