He is survived by his soulmate and loving wife of 57 years, Nancy. He was the beloved father of Tyler (Heather) and Todd (Jennifer) and loving grandfather of Madison, David, Kiera, and Aiden. He is the dear brother of Gary (Kathy) LeLoup, Beth (Kevin) Latshaw, and Deanie Porter. Born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania on December 6, 1945, David was the son of the late George LeLoup and Vivian LeLoup Porter.
David graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio where he became a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.
David joined the United States Navy where he served in the Vietnam War and earned the rank of Lieutenant. While serving, David was a proud volunteer with Junior Achievement.
Following 3 years of military service, David began a fulfilling career with Ryder Systems for almost 40 years before retiring. During retirement, he enjoyed spending time with Nancy, playing golf (which was always a favorite pastime), volunteering at North Fulton Community Charities, and developed a passion and love for travel. He also found a new best friend in his puppy, Daisy, who he loved to play with, care for, and absolutely spoil.
A memorial service will be held for David on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM at South Forsyth Memorial Chapel, (3545 Peachtree Pkwy). A Celebration of Life will take place at St. Ives Country Club, (1 St Ives Country Club Dr), immediately following the service until 3:00 pm.
