Jane E. Mastrangelo

Jane was born on February 2, 1942, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the oldest of six children to Francis Tighe and Lillian (Dille) Tighe.

She grew up in Milwaukee and Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, graduating from Wauwatosa East High School. She received a Bachelor of Education degree from Wisconsin State University-Whitewater.

Jane taught history and English in middle schools in Wisconsin and Illinois for 8 years. She then embarked on a very successful career as a Real Estate Agent in Illinois for over 20 years where she received many top salesperson of the year awards and accolades.

After college Jane married Rich Copenhagen and while pursuing her career she raised 3 children, Christine Copenhagen (David) Hass of Big Canoe, Georgia, Kevin Copenhagen of Kingwood, Texas and Courtney Copenhagen of New York, New York.

In 1983, Jane married John Mastrangelo. They lived in Palatine, Illinois until they retired in 1999 when they divided their time between homes in The Villages, Florida and Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin. After 30 years together, John passed away in 2009.

Three years later in 2012, Jane married Jim Wojciechowski. They continued to live half the year in Florida and half the year on Kangaroo Lake. Jane and Jim loved to travel and took many wonderful trips abroad. In 2018, they went on a World Cruise for over 3 months. Jim passed away while traveling with Jane in September of 2021. Jane continued to travel and in 2024 at age 82, Jane went on the World Cruise again with friends in memory of Jim.

Jane was an avid golfer. She belonged to many golf leagues in both Door County and The Villages. Jane also enjoyed water aerobics, boating on her pontoon boat, dancing, arts and crafts and she was very social and loved spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her three children, Jane is survived by her grandson, Timmy Hass of Ogden, Utah; stepdaughter, Lynette Kelleher of Phoenix, Arizona; stepson, Kevin (Tina) Mastrangelo of St. Charles, Illinois; step-grandchildren, Brooks Kelleher, Marissa and Vincent Mandarino and Aidan and Connor Mastrangelo; siblings, Judie (Gary) Stang of Overland Park, Kansas, Jim (Christine) Tighe, of Madison, Wisconsin, MarySue (David) Livieri of Oglesby, Illinois, Debbie (Louie) Riederer of Lenexa, Kansas and Jeffrey Tighe of Overland Park, Kansas; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Mastrangelo; husband, Jim Wojciechowski; grandson, Tyler Hass and; stepdaughter, Heather Mastrangelo.

A Celebration of LIfe for Jane will be held at 1802 Marquez Loop in The Villages on Monday, April 27, 2026 from 3:00-7:00 pm.

Another Celebration of Life for Jane will be held in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin sometime the week of July 27th, 2026. Details of Visitation and Mass will be shared at a later date.
