Jerry Vance Tapp

Vance is survived by his wife, Susan Tapp; his sons, Jerry Christopher Tapp and Timothy Loop-Tapp; and his daughters, Kymberly Freeman and Tammy Bates. He is also survived by his sons-in-law, Jeff Bates, James Freeman, and Kevin Loop-Tapp.

Vance leaves behind his many grandchildren: Jessica Freeman, Lena McIntyre, Leslie Dean, Jyllian Freeman, Kody Freeman, Jasper Freeman, Jonathan Tapp, Allison Tapp, Lilyan Tapp, and Keelyn Tapp; as well as his great-grandchildren, Charlotte Potts, Jackson Johnson, Hayden Johnson, and Everleigh Dean.

He is now reunited with his father and mother, R.L and Cassie Tapp, and his brothers; Wayne, Don, Elwyn Tapp.

Vance retired after a career as a welder with American BOA. When he wasn’t working, he could often be found spending time with his family, tinkering in his shop, or playing his guitar.

Vance will be remembered for his loyalty, his strong work ethic, and, of course, his stubbornness. If you stopped by to visit, depending on the day, you could almost always find him with a coffee mug, a glass of sweet tea, or a Pepsi in his hand.

Vance is finally free, rejoicing without pain, he’s able to reunite with loved ones, sit around and play the guitar with old friends, and race his ‘68 Camaro again, but now down the pearly streets of heaven.

Vance was loved by so many, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
