Kiarah Chanel Holden-Venisee, 26, brought compassion, confidence, and an unforgettable spark into the lives of those who knew her. Born on March 10, 2000, she filled her years with creativity, determination, laughter, and love. She passed away on October 10, 2026, leaving her family and friends with cherished memories and a love that endures.
Kiarah was a spark in any room. Her infectious laughter and ability to uplift those around her made everyday moments special. She loved spending time with family, creating art, pursuing fitness, cooking, and traveling. Whether expressing herself through her artwork, sharing a meal, or exploring somewhere new, Kiarah brought her own energy and imagination to the experience.
Driven and dedicated, Kiarah graduated from East Carolina University, where she studied graphic arts, and Sandhills Community College, where she trained as a surgical technician. She had recently begun working with Vantage Surgical Solutions, carrying her compassion and determination into a career devoted to helping others.
Kiarah was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Fred and Ernestene Cooksey, whose memory is lovingly honored alongside hers.
Her memory will be cherished by her mother, Kristie Holden; her father, Samuel Holden Jr.; her birth father, Ralph Venisee; her brothers, Robert Singleton III, Deshaun Holden, and Lamante Venisee; and her sister, Samantha Holden. She also leaves her grandmothers, Deborah Bergan and Cynthia Smith; her grandfathers, Austin Bergan and Samuel Holden Sr.; her aunts, Renee, Tyra, Shenya, and Dymita; her uncles, Dwayne, Curt, and Jason; and her best friends and sisters at heart, Maddie Santana and Jatavia George, along with extended family and friends who loved her deeply.
Kiarah’s life cannot be measured by its length alone. It lives on in the joy she shared, the people she encouraged, and the love she gave so freely. Her family will remember her as compassionate, confident, and driven—a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend whose presence remains woven into their lives.
