William Donald Grant

Donald was born on April 2, 1942, in Kirkwall, Orkney, Scotland, to William and Isabella Grant. He attended Kirkwall School before continuing his education at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.

Donald devoted 54 years of his life to a career as a mechanical engineer. He had a deep passion for his work and took great pride in his profession. Outside of work, Donald enjoyed photography and was an active member of Toastmasters. He also had a special love for his pets, who brought him much happiness throughout his life.

Donald married Naomi on September 28, 1987, in South Africa. He will be lovingly remembered by Naomi; stepchildren, Bryan, Desmond, David and Sally, brother Norman, sister Evelyn and his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Isabella Grant and his oldest brother, Jimmy.

A private memorial service will be held for family.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Morrison, Judy, and the entire staff at Pruitt Hospice for the compassionate care and support they provided to Donald and his family.
