BLIZARD, Alan D., 82, of Tampa, FL passed away on May 31, 2012. Alan was born in Whitinsville, MA to Alan and Irma Blizard on Sept. 23, 1929. He retired from the US Navy, where he served as a Chief Navy Corpsman. Alan also retired from Dupont Pharmaceutical where he was a senior representative. Alan was a graduate of University of Tampa earning his Bachelor of Science Degree. He also achieved his dream of owning his own business, Town & Country Skateworld. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Gladys Blizard; sons, Alan (Christine) Blizard and Michael Blizard ; daughters, Linda (Howard) Snidle, Irma (Dale) Beattie; five grandchildren Jimmy, Brandy, Brooke, Jacob, and Afton; four brothers and two sisters. He was predeceased by his parents and two siblings. Family will receive friends at Gonzalez Funeral Home Thursday June 07 from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass at 10am on Friday June 08, 2012 at Incarnation Catholic Church 5124 Gateway Drive Tampa, FL . Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
