As a testament of God’s grace and comfort, his family was present at his side. Alfredo was born in Maasin, So. Leyte, Philippines on November 27, 1930, to Pedro Napuli and Demetria Maceda. Alfredo was a long-time resident of Tampa. He served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. In 1963 he married the love of his life, “Choling”. Together they raised three children and lived the military life moving to several duty stations, including San Diego, Subic Bay, Washington, D.C., Norfolk, and Great Lakes. Alfredo enjoyed fishing and was a very active member of several Filipino associations in the Tampa Bay area, such as Kaliwat Bolanon Sa Florida, Bicol Association of Southern Florida, and the Philippine Choral Group of Tampa Bay.
Alfredo was a devout Catholic but also a devout family man. His love and devotion to his wife, children and grandchildren were boundless. He cherished every moment spent with them creating countless memories that will be treasured for generations to come. His home was a sanctuary of love, laughter and warmth where all who entered were welcomed with open arms and open hearts.
Alfredo was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Soledad Napuli. He is survived by his three children - Frederick Napuli (Kim Napuli), Chona Napuli Bojo (Joey Bojo), Dinah Napuli Ferrantelli (David Ferrantelli); 9 grandchildren: Christina, Vince, Daniel, Erica, Marisa, Maddie, Ava, Gino, and Isabella; as well as his sister Lilia Napuli and brother Gordon Napuli and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on 4/12/24 from 4-7pm at Blount & Curry Life Event Center. A service will be held on Saturday 4/13/24 at 10:00 am at St. Patricks Church following the church will be a Gravside Service at 12pm at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
