Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, Alicia devoted her entire life to serving the Lord. At a very young age, she answered the call to missions, serving in the Canary Islands, Spain, and in Africa. Even in her youth, her heart was committed to sharing the message of faith and hope wherever God led her.
She later married the love of her life, Jaime Miranda Lozada, and faithfully served alongside him in ministry. Alicia was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and worked devotedly beside her husband as they pastored churches in New York and Puerto Rico. Together, they dedicated their lives to shepherding congregations and strengthening the body of Christ.
After the passing of her beloved husband on May 20, 2000, Alicia continued steadfastly in ministry. She served as a prison chaplain in Puerto Rico, ministering with compassion and dignity to those incarcerated. She later returned to Spain to continue her missionary calling, serving in prison ministry there as well.
Following her missionary work abroad, Alicia continued serving the Lord in Florida. She ministered to immigrant farmworkers sharing with them the hope of the Gospel.
She is survived by her loving children, Bernice Miranda and Israel Miranda; her stepchildren, Mayra Miranda, Jaime Miranda, Oscar Miranda, Wanda Trainer, Shirley Miranda, and Jorge Miranda; five biological grandchildren; and thirteen grandchildren from her stepchildren. Her legacy of faith, service, and love will continue through each of them.
Her children and family will forever cherish her prayers, her strength, and her unwavering faith. Though she will be deeply missed, they find peace in knowing she is now rejoicing in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served all her life.
Visitation will be held at Multicultural Casa Restauración 728 E Lumsden Rd, Brandon, FL 33511 on March 7, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm with funeral service beginning at the church starting at 4:00 pm.
