Not only did we have many years together in the choir at Lakeside Lutheran (Wisconsin), but also we shared some great times, including visiting Mary Lou and Al in their home in North Port. Grandkids had good times together in Vacation Bible School, and we always appreciated his barbershop performances. Al had a joyous spirit. We send our love to the family.

Singing in a quartet with Al and Fred and Clint is one of my favorite memories. Always a joy to sing with someone who holds you to a higher standard and does it with good humor. You are missed, Al.

We were privileged to share the friendship of Al and MaryLou at Port Charlotte UMC. We served in the choir with both of them. Regardless of physical difficulties, Al always greeted you with a warm welcome and a beautiful smile! He was one of those people who left the world a better place! We share your loss!
