Amanda "Mandy" Long Jonas, a devoted mother, loving wife, and steadfast friend, passed away on August 3, 2026, at the age of 49, to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was surrounded by the warmth of her family over the past year as she bravely battled an aggressive form of cancer.
Born September 15, 1976, in Tampa, Florida, Mandy lived a life defined by the love of her children, family, and friends. Those who knew Mandy will remember her ability to make any gathering brighter. She brought laughs, smiles, and kindness to everything and everyone she touched. She could simply be described as fun. A seventh-generation Floridian, she was happiest on the water — whether feeling the sand between her toes at the beach or spending sunny afternoons boating with her family and friends. When not taking advantage of the best that Florida had to offer, you could always find her with a new book. Mandy graduated from Plant High School in 1994 and loved the connection and friendships she maintained with many childhood and longtime friends.
Mandy’s family was the cornerstone of her world. She was fortunate to have found an amazing partnership with her beloved husband Adam, along with an enduring love for their two children. As a mother to Ryan (13) and Addison (11), she was patient, loving, and their endless advocate.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Adam Jonas; her cherished children, Ryan and Addison; her loving parents, Bill and Trisha Long; her brother, Billy Long (Courtney), and niece Claire, along with her extended family and a wide circle of friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
