I will miss her presence, her kisses, her smile, I didn’t really understand what was being said but somehow we understood each other.

To us she was Mama Ana, grandma and great grandma!

Saying she enjoyed seeing her Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren is an understatement. She enjoyed it to the fullest and you could see it in her smile.

I will miss the banter between her and my dad, them talking Spanish and me having not a clue what is actually being said, but laughing.

I will miss trying to compete with Felicia on who talks the most Spanish to her. Which Fee always won. I will miss Mama Ana trying to slip some Maria cookies to either me or the kids. I already miss her saying “tell AScott I love him” or her leaving a voicemail of her singing happy birthday to me.

After I see or talk to her I would say...Te querio mucho.... mucho besos.... Bennysong (granted I most likely mispronounce this for my 40 years of life and misspelled now, but that is how I exactly said it!)

Please watch over us! We love you!

Mima touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She always had a warm smile, encouraging word, or warm embrace to share. Her spirit will live on in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be looking down from heaven on her family, in the company of those who passed before her. I can picture her having Cuban coffee with Madrina Beba, Comadre, Padrino, and Papo, to name just a few. Te amo mima.

Here are all 5 of her great- grandchildren. Here's to the legacy you started. May they will carry it on as loving and beautifully as you did.

This is Ana Rey, aka Mama Ana, with 4 of her great-grandchildren, she has 5 now, and her 3 granddaughters and son. She loved them all so very much. She lived for happiness. She was one the sweetest, most genuine woman I have ever known. Until next time....
