She was called to serve the New York province of the Sisters of the Holy Names as director of finance from 1976 until 1984. Sister Anne Celine’s legacy extends far beyond the positions she held. Known for her kindness, quiet strength and thoughtful wisdom she shared her gifts with others. Her interest included music, both classical and pops. She was a talented pianist. She loved professional sports and enjoyed the statistical side of baseball, maybe even more than the game itself. She loved all animals especially cats. Undoubtedly, her favorite was Stormy
the cat; named because he was born during a hurricane. Anne was a calm, talented, woman of deep faith committed to others, her SNJM community and the Academy of the Holy Names.
There will be a Memorial mass celebrated at the Academy of the Holy Names on October 31st at 11:00. Her burial will be at a later date in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
