Antonio Luis Liberato Saavedra Machado “Tony”, born on September 14, 1961, passed away on December 26, 2024. He was 63 years old, born in Baltimore, Maryland, but was raised and lived in Tampa, Florida. Tony is the cherished son of his surviving mother, Elvira da Conceição Liberato Saavedra Machado and the late Dr. Antonio Luis Saavedra Machado, whom both descended from Portugal. He was a brother to Maria Luis Liberato Saavedra Machado-Ruiz, Luis Manuel Liberato Saavedra Machado “Limané”, and Antonio Manuel Liberato Saavedra Machado “Tomané”.
Tony has four children, Heather Estelle Saavedra Machado-Chancey, Amber Nichole Machado, Antonio Luis Machado “Tylus”, and Alexis Nyla Machado-Martin, and fourteen grandchildren, Hailey Jenáe Estelle Menendez, Brianna Nichole Elise Menendez, Brody Braxton Bragg, Nyla Leysell Machado-Salinas, Talen Kristian Bragg, Lily Pistol Rose Chancey, Dominic Carlos Machado-Salinas, Landen Kai Bragg, Romeo Antonio Machado, Selina Melody Machado-Martin, Michael Anthony Martin II, Remi Marie Machado, and twins Lola Valentina Machado and Gian Valentino Machado. They are and will forever be his Machado Clan~
Tony lived an adventurous life and was always up for anything. Whether it was a drive to the Florida Keys in the middle of the night for fishing the next day or a spur of the moment bull ride in surf shorts and flip flops, he was ready! He has jumped off boats on top of alligators for the fun of it and has even flown small planes. He enjoyed boating, fishing, surfing, skydiving, scuba diving, underwater spear fishing, street bikes, dirt bikes and horses. He could take apart, rebuild, and fix anything and debate on any subject for hours with you, even if you both agreed on the topic. He was fun, optimistic, exciting, and most definitely wild in his youth and prime and certainly tried to carry those ways over onto his later years.
Tony will be missed by all his loved ones and many friends but never forgotten, as he has impacted a lot of the lives of those he knew with his wild and crazy way. There is a good chance some of your most memorable, extreme life experiences involve him as they do with his children.
