

Aurelia Lopez AKA "Yeya", 92, died peacefully, Feb 12, 2017 at 8:15 p.m. At her home in Tampa of natural causes. Aurelia was born on 10/2/1924 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Pedro Vargas and Luisa Perez.
Aurelia was married to Vicente Lopez for 62 years. Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.
She enjoyed her family, beautiful things, and flowers the most. To know her was to love her. Yeya had a childlike faith and taught her family the true meaning of forgiveness and unconditional love. She opened the doors of her home and heart to everyone.
Yeya legacy is carried on by her children Carmen Velez, Luisa Rodríguez, Nereida Rivera, Fernando Lopez, William Lopez, Pedro Lopez, Miguel Lopez, Alicia Torres, Sonia Lopez, Julia Lopez, Priscilla Colón, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
2nd Timothy 3-5 "I thank God, whom I serve... as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. Recalling your tears... I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother, your mother, and I am persuaded, now lives in you also." (Paraphrased)
The legacy of our beloved "Yeya" will live on in our hearts and memories forever. The family wishes to thank all of those who prayed and cared for Aurelia, especially during her illness. The Lopez family is eternally grateful.
