Ayda Flores

Ayda Flores was born on October 13,1921 in Esmeraldas, Ecuador to her parents, Isabel Gallon and Abraham Flores.

She enjoyed playing basketball in her younger years. As a young adult, she became a teacher. Her love for learning stayed with her throughout her lifetime. She loved reading about God and her Faith. She moved to Tampa in 1974. She helped raise many of her grandchildren in Ecuador as in Florida. She was a wonderful storyteller and had a love for singing. She had 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters; Maria Vintimilla, Laura Mosquera, Rosa Calderon

A memorial gathering for Ayda will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33614, followed by a memorial service from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Le gustaba jugar al baloncesto en su juventud. Ella trabajó cómo maestra de escuela. Su amor por el aprendizaje permaneció con ella durante toda su vida. Le encantaba leer de Dios y su Fe, casi todo los días. Se mudó a Tampa en 1974. Ayudó a criar a muchos de sus nietos tanto en Ecuador como en la Florida. Ella era único contando su vida y cantando en voz alta.
