Barbara Lee Pugsley

Mrs. Barbara Pugsley, of Plant City, FL, died peacefully with her family by her side in Tampa, FL on September 27, 2014 at the age of 79.vBarbara was born on February 3, 1935 in Chicago, IL to Walter and Elizabeth Houck. After moving to Pittsburgh, PA she worked for US Steel where she made many friends and met her future husband, Gordon Pugsley. The couple married in 1971. Upon retirement, they moved to Florida in 1993. Barbara was a passionate athlete and sports fan, especially when it came to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates and the Alabama Crimson Tide. She excelled at softball, golf and bowling. Barbara is survived by her son, David (Michelle) Pugsley of Plant City, FL, and step-daughter, Jennifer Pugsley of Miami Shores, FL; sister, Lois Kosko of Pittsburgh, PA and brother, William (Gail) Houck of Leesburg, FL. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon. An informal reception for friends and family will be held in Pittsburgh on a date to be determined.
