She was born in British Guyana on October 18th, 1954. She immigrated to the US and lived in Queens, New York, then moved to Tampa, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Olga and Joseph Selochan; her sister, Lynette; brother in law, Cyril; and nephew, Raymond Sugrim.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Mario; son, Nicholas; sisters, Elaine Persaud and Janet Boodhoo; brothers, Dr. Viberto Selochan of Melbourne, Australia, Rupert Selochan, Wilbert Selochan, Fabian Selochan all of Tampa, and Gilbert Selochan of Connecticut; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday 19th, 2023 from 5pm to 8pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home (6802 Silvermill Dr. Tampa FL 33635). Funeral Mass will be held on Friday 20th, 2023 at 11am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church (5225 N. Himes Ave. Tampa FL 33614).
