

After graduation from Hampton High School Beryl entered the working force as a medical assistant, later marrying her high school sweetheart, Bill George, Jr. in 1964. Beryl and Bill traveled the world together during the time Bill served in the U.S. Air Force. She loved traveling and recounting fond memories of her times living abroad in Vicenza, Italy and enjoying trips with her husband and sons to Austria, Germany, France, England and Israel. Monterey California was also a favorite place for Beryl and she often told stories of the years they lived there. In 1979 Beryl and Bill relocated their family to Tampa Florida where Beryl re-entered the work-force as an Occupational Specialist for the Hillsborough County School District after being a stay at home mom. Beryl loved children and even after retirement continued to substitute teach. Over the last two decades she cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother and deeply loved her family. She particularly found great joy in spending time with family and friends inTionesta PA where she and Bill own a 1904 farmhouse and a river house. Beryl was a friend to all and frequently provided donations to community families and individuals who were in need. She was dedicated to her faith and was a proud member of Chapel in the Pines.
Beryl is predeceased by her parents, Orvis and Inez Davis, sisters Flora and Alice and brother Kenny. She is survived by her high school sweetheart, Bill Jr.; sons Bill III (wife Suzanne), Kevin (wife Laurie) and Richard; grandchildren Victoria, Belinda, Sierra, William IV, and Holden; great grandchildren Scarlet and Ivan; twin sister Inez and brother Orvis.
A visitation for Beryl will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Blount and Curry Funeral Home Oldsmar West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Dr, Tampa, FL 33635. Funeral services will then take place at 2:30PM at the funeral home with a memorial reception to follow.
A Celebration of Beryl's life will also be taking place in Pennsylvania on Friday September 15, 2023 @ 6:00pm. St. Peters Lutheran Church, 202 Van Buren Street, Evans City, PA 16033.
