Betty McNeice Carroll

\Betty is survived by her two sons, Philip R. Carroll of Tampa, Florida and David H. Carroll, of Orlando, Florida. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Kathryn McCrary and husband Tyler, Anna Lynn Garrett and husband Raleigh, and Harrison Carroll, as well as four great-grandchildren, Thomas McCrary, Wilson McCrary, Callie Garrett, and Andrew McCrary.

Betty was born in Birmingham, Alabama and resided in Tampa, Florida, and Auburn, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Bailey O’Dell and Yvonne Boatner McNeice. She was predeceased by her husband, James H. Carroll, Jr, and her brother, Mr. William McNeice. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Education and from The University of Tampa with a master’s degree in Education. She taught business law for many years at Chamberlain High School, and later served as Vice President of Carroll Air Systems, Inc.

Betty was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. She was also a member of Chiselers, Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club, Tampa Yacht and Country Club and The Stovall House.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Her memorial service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 906 S. Orleans Avenue on Friday, December 23rd at 11:00 a.m. A celebration of life will immediately follow at Tampa Yacht and Country Club, 5320 Interbay Blvd.

Betty will be laid to rest at Town Creek Cemetery located in Auburn, Alabama on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023 at 11:30 a.m.
