

Bonnie Hunt Corral of Tampa peacefully passed away on May 19, 2017. Bonnie was born January 19, 1925 in Jacksonville, Florida to Frank and Agnes Hunt. She graduated from H.B. Plant High School and Florida State University. Bonnie was preceded in death by her devoted husband Manuel of 47 wonderful years and brother Frank Hunt Jr. She is survived by her loving sons Christopher (Sandi) and Dr. Kent R. (Suzann) Corral. She leaves behind with pride seven grandchildren; Kit (Holly) Corral, Tellina (Jacob), Zack (Natasha), Ian (Michael), Manuel, Lee, and Devon, and five great-grandchildren; Matthew, Ella, Sam, Tanner and Elliott also many loving nieces and nephews. Bonnie was dedicated to her family and her church, Hyde Park Methodist, where she was a member of the choir and Crismon Group, as well as Bible Study. She was a long time member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary where she was the recipient of the Humanitarian Award for dedicated community service. Bonnie was a member of Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club where she won the Women’s Handicap Golf title. She actively enjoyed tennis and won the Palma Ceia mixed doubles championship. In earlier years, Bonnie participated in the Junior League and was enthusiastically involved in its Children’s Little Theatre for elementary school students. She also gave service to the Children’s Home. She was always willing to devote time and energy to those in need. Bonnie was also a true sports fan. She loyally supported her beloved FSU Seminoles, the Tampa Bay Rays, and professional tennis. Love of sports was shared with her beloved Manuel as well as summers at the beach. Her exuberance as a hostess created many friendships and memories throughout the years.
