Carmen Fernandez, 92, passed away on May 12, 2023 in Tampa, FL. Carmen was born in Tampa and raised in Asturias, Spain. She moved back to Tampa after marrying her husband and worked in both the cigar industry and as a seamstress. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Manuel Fernandez; parents Jose and Pacita Fernandez as well as her sister Celia Fernandez. She is survived by her daughter, Angie Ojeda (Aldo); granddaughter Amanda Ojeda; grandson Andrew Ojeda (Jennifer); great granddaughter Ivy; as well as her extended family in Spain. Services for Carmen will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carmen’s name to Metropolitan Ministries or The Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Arrangements entrusted to Gonzalez Funeral Home.
