

Caroline Clark Hill, 63, of Tampa passed away at home surrounded by her family on October 31, 2025 after a brave seven-year long battle with appendiceal cancer. She was born at Tampa General Hospital on March 13, 1962. She was a graduate of Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg, Florida and received her bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Caroline and her husband Stephen were married for 39 years. She loved and was deeply loved by her family.
Gardening was one of her great joys and a source of comfort and relaxation. For many years, she was a member of the Rose Circle Garden Club. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Boca Grande, FL, and Stonington, CT where she could often be found outdoors running or on the golf course. She completed multiple marathons, the most recent being the Paris Marathon in 2018 that she ran with her daughters.
Caroline had a career in banking, owned the Garden Party retail store in South Tampa and then began her own landscape design firm, Caroline Hill Landscape Design.
She was a member of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church and served on the board of Village Partners International. Her greatest passion was her family, especially her four children and two granddaughters. She was blessed to enjoy the love of her parents Paul and Dona Clark for her whole life.
She is survived by her parents, Paul and Dona Clark of Tampa, her husband, Stephen, her daughters Cameron Hill and Charlotte (Michael) Hovick, both of Tampa, and her sons, Jackson Hill of Philadelphia and Graham Hill of Tampa. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Charlotte Anderson of Tampa, and her granddaughters Caroline Hovick and Mary Clark Hovick.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place at Blount & Curry Life Event Center, located at 605 S MacDill Ave, on November 5, 2025, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church, 3501 W San Jose St, on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
