Carolyn Theresa Collins

Carolyn was born in Newark, NJ, to Lawrence B. and Eveline A. Wittmann on April 26th, 1935. She She went to school in Newark, NJ. She married Richard J. Collins on January 18, 1969, in Newark, NJ. She did secretarial work for many years and was a devoted wife and mother.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Richard, who passed away in 1990, her brother, Lawrence B. Wittmann, Jr., and brother, Richard B. Wittmann.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Anne E. Barrett, and son-in-law, Scott M. Barrett, of New Port Richey, FL and her son, Greg S. Collins, and daughter-in-law, Jaime L. Collins, of Palm Harbor, FL. She is also survived by a brother, Frederick J. Wittmann, of South Carolina, and sister, Barbara A. Wittmann, of New Jersey.

She has five grandchildren which include, Jessica L. Barrett, Matthew C. Barrett, Sean M. Barrett, Hailey C. Collins, and Cory R. Collins.

Visitation and mass service following will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16th, 2022, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 6802 Silvermill Drive, Tampa, FL 33635.

Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ. Arrangements are by M. John Scanlan Funeral Home in Pompton Plains, NJ.
