OBITUARY

Cecelia Ruth Redding

March 26, 1932February 11, 2021

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Cecelia Ruth Redding née Breland, on 11 February 2021. She was a loving and devoted mother, and caring friend to all whose lives she touched. Ruth, as she preferred to be called, lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker and before retirement was involved in the banking industry. Ruth was born in Jacksonville Florida on 26 March 1932 and was witness to incredible changes to our world. She loved the British situation comedies, loved to craft, and kept an immaculate house. Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her sons, strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her sons William C. Redding, and Robert W. Redding. She is survived by her son, John N. Redding (Tampa) and her grandchildren Nikol Rupenski (Tampa) Kari Acri (S. Petersburg) and Adam Uhlarik (Tampa) many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. There will be no services. Ruth cared deeply for our injured veterans and loved animals. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to either the Gary Sinise Foundation or your local animal shelter. Arrangements handled by Blount & Curry MacDill, 813.876.2421.

We will miss Aunt Ruth. She was a special lady that really touched many people's lives. We will miss being able to talk on the phone with her and praying for each of our families. We shared things with each other that we might not tell others. We will treasure the memories of Aunt Ruth. Clyde and Gail Ryals

My Aunt Ruth was the last of my mother’s seven siblings. Now they are all gone. I will miss her and our long conversations on the phone as I live in SC. We loved to share memories of when we were young.I loved her with all my heart. All because of a young pastor who reached out to her, I know she is with Jesus and I will see her again one day. John, I know you will miss her and I send my deepest sympathy to you!

Our Mother will be missed every day and will never be forgotten. What a blessing it has been to have her in my life for so many years. I will miss my morning coffee and phone calls with her. Driving to the store will never be the same. I will now have to shop alone in the stores and online, but I know Mother will be in my heart and watching over me and my family. Praying for strength and love for everyone that loves her so much. She touched so many lives.
I love you Mother,
Elizabeth 💜
