Charles Samuel Xiques was born on August 28, 1933, in Tampa, Florida. He was the son of Miguel and Mamie Xiques. He retired from the Cargill INC fertilizer plant in Riverview and served four years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed playing baseball during his enlistment and the years to follow.
Charles was preceded in death by his dear wife Gladys Xiques and sister Betty Spivey. He is survived by his son Paul Allen Xiques; brother Mike Xiques; sister Vicky Gould; grandchildren Nathan Xiques and wife Abigail, Olivia Xiques and Trevor Groetken; great-grandson Colton Groetken; step-children Lonnie Thompson, Cindy Pennington, and nieces and nephews; Daughter-in-law Remona Xiques; step-grandchildren Ashley Hines, Matthew Hines and his wife Tayler, Jacob Warren and his wife Haley; step-great-grandchildren Holly and Truman Hines.
Charles was a faithful servant to the Lord Jesus Christ who loved his church, his pastor, George Pirt, pastor’s wife and children, and church family. He will be greatly missed!
