Christine Bruno (Krupinsky), 58, a resident of Tampa, FL died on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Born on December 14, 1967, in Annapolis, MD to the late Joe and Eleanor Krupinsky (Kennedy), Christine graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in 1985, Hofstra University (Mechanical Engineering) in 1989, The University of South Florida (Civil Engineering) in 1997 and achieved the status of Professional Engineer. Christine began her career with The American Society of Mechanical Engineers in New York. Relocating to Tampa in 1994, Christine truly fell in love with the community in which she lived and spent nearly 30 years working for Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa. While Christine worked on many projects, she was most proud of her time working on the Riverwalk project, which has helped define the City of Tampa. Christine concluded her career with Jacobs Engineering, a role she loved and was proud of. Christine, who earned a scholarship to play lacrosse and field hockey at Hofstra University, grew up in and raised sports loving families. She loved to travel with her dear friends, enjoyed painting, all things Snoopy, Disney, making wreaths and other crafts. Christine poured her heart into raising her sons, anchoring their journey to adulthood in the simple, profound goal of a happy life. Beyond her home, she found deep purpose in a community of love centered around Christ.
Her immense capacity for love is carried forward by her husband & sons and continues to be felt by her dog, Jack, and grandcat, Olive, both of whom she cherished deeply. Christine is survived by her husband Tony; their children, Matthew and Johnathan; her siblings Colleen Krupinsky, Kevin (Kelly) and Steven Krupinsky; her three nieces and nephews, Elisabeth and Nathan Krupinsky and Angelina Anderson and her mother-in-law Ann Bruno.
The family will receive visitors on Friday May 15, 2026 from 6pm to 8pm at Blount & Curry, 605 South MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, May 16 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 821 South Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33609, with a Committal Service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5233 118th Ave N, Clearwater, FL 33760 and Reception at 2pm, George M. Steinbrenner Field to follow.
