Ciara was born on April 8th, 1991 in St. Louis, Missouri and attended high school in nearby Hudson. From an early age, it was apparent that she possessed a caring and kind heart, which overflowed with love for her family, friends, and anyone else in need. Naturally, then, when Patrick was born, she embraced motherhood with profound grace and joy.
She was the beloved wife of Thomas Arthur Wright, with whom she created a beautiful and welcoming, loving home. Ciara’s commitment to her family was unwavering, and though her time with us was too brief, the light of her spirit and the depth of her love will always remain.
A beautiful soul, she found magic in the everyday: reading books to her son Patrick, spending time with her family, playing pickleball, planning themed parties, walking the dogs, attending concerts and sporting events, or caring for her clients as an aesthetician. No matter the occasion, Ciara served as a constant source of inspiration and encouragement to all.
“Even in the darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous … Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.” Psalm 112
Ciara will be profoundly missed by her husband, Thomas, and their precious son, Patrick Arthur Wright. She is also survived by her loving mother, Cindy Ratchford, step-mother, Luanne Ratchford Carney (Tom), her siblings, Gerry Ratchford (Sana) and Emily Gentry (Grady), and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who feel her loss so deeply.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Blount Curry Life Event Center - MacDill, 605 S. MacDill Avenue, Tampa.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ciara’s honor to our educational fund for Patrick Wright at https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/2w3ky8/donate/init
