

76, of Tampa, FL, passed away on Tuesday, January 20th following a brief illness. She was a Tampa resident since 1995. She was born on September 25, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Dr. Henry L. and Viola DeBaecke. She graduated from Mt. St. Joseph Academy in 1956 and later attending Abington Hospital School of Nursing and Temple University. She married Sam on November 16th, 1963. As Sam pursued his city management career the couple lived in several cities, including Savannah, GA, Miami Springs, Melbourne, and Tampa, FL. Claire was a communicant of Christ the King Catholic Church and a dedicated homemaker. She placed great emphasis on ensuring that Hank received every opportunity to succeed. She and Sam moved to Canterbury Tower in 2010 where she had many friends and enjoyed participating in a variety of activities. She is survived by her husband, Sam; son, Hank; sister, Lynn (Alan) Greene; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved miniature dachshund, Brenda. A Memorial Service will be held at Canterbury Tower, 3501 Bayshore Blvd, Tampa, FL on Sunday, February 1st at 2pm.
